Sînziana Popescu

Currently Sînziana Popescu is working as a postdoctoral research associate at Imperial College London, within the Imperial Center for Translational and Experimental Medicine. Dr. Sînziana Popescu main fields of research are cardiovascular disease and regenerative medicine.

She pursued her PhD studies at the Institute or Cellular Biology and Pathology “Simionescu” of the Romanian Academy, in Bucharest. During her doctoral formation Dr. Sînziana Popescu spent one year as a visiting graduate researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she improved her knowledge of cito-compatible biomaterials.

Both Dr. Sînziana Popescu‘s Master’s degree in Microbial biotechnology and Genetics and her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry were awarded by the University of Bucharest.
