Melinda Sabo

Melinda is a doctoral student at Leibniz Research Centre for Working Environment and Human Factors (Dortmund, Germany).

She investigates the interaction between different memory systems (adult participants), using the electroencephalogram (EEG) as a brain imaging technique.More exactly, Melinda’s studies focus primarily on the phenomena of recalling short-term and long-term memories. These studies also explore the way attention influences memory processes and EEG correlates obtained in this context.

Melinda obtained her master’s degree in Cognitive Sciences at Ruhr-Universität Bochum and her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Bucharest. She developed her passion for researching during her studies, a period of time in which she was a research assistant in the Laboratory of Clinical and Cognitive Sciences (University of Bucharest), and later became an assistant at the Neuroinformatics Institute of the Bochum University.
