Dr. Ion Cîrstea

Dr. Ion Cîrstea is currently the leader of the RAS Biology research team, at the Institute of Comparative Molecular Endocrinology, at Ulm University. The academic road assumes a bachelor’s degree in molecular biochemistry and biology at the University Of Bucharest, a master’s degree in the same field and a doctor’s degree at the “Max Planck” Institute of Molecular Physiology in Dortmund.

Currently, the team’s work is based on the study of RAS oncogenes and their link to some pathologies like cancer, but also aging. In addition to this, it also seeks to identify proteins that play a regulatory role or interact with these oncogenes.
