Dr. Tudor Constantin Badea is a scientific researcher at the Research-Development Institute of Transilvania University of Brasov. His research area focuses on neurobiology, analysis of morphology and function of laboratory mouse neurons using genetic markers, computerized reconstruction of the dendritic tree, analysis of retinal ganglion cells.
Dr. Badea attended medical school at UMF “Iuliu Hațieganu” Cluj-Napoca, then completed a master’s degree in biology at Columbia University in New York, USA and a PhD in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA.
Dr. Badea has experience (11+ years) as a group leader for students, researchers and technicians in the field of visual system development and function. He is an expert in genetic manipulation, genomics, experimental animal models, cell culture and behavioral analysis.
