Ana is a PhD student within the London Interdisciplinary Doctoral Programme. Her research project, a collaboration between the Department of Chemistry, University College London and King’s College London St Thomas’ Hospital, focuses on applied chemistry in medical imaging and personalized medicine.
In 2020 she graduated with her master’s degree in natural sciences at UCL, and she’s now teaching chemistry, genetics and biostatistics modules and labs, receiving the title of Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2022.
Ana has a passion for academic research and teaching , as well as bioentrepreneurship and technology transfer initiatives, as evidenced by her participation in Biobusiness modules at Birkbeck, University of London. She also participated in the Young Entrepreneurs Scheme Competition and is actively involved both as a Talent Strategist at Start Codon and as a Science Writer & Editor at the Science Entrepreneur Club.
